  • Marcel Broodthaers, Lumière sur La Haye. Film scenario, dossier.
Marcel Broodthaers, Archive (1959-1964). Lumière sur La Haye / Light on The Hague. Archive (1959-1964) from the collection of Dutch artist Livinus van de Bundt (1909-1979), a Light Art innovator in the late nineteen-fifties and sixties, and his wife, ceramic artist Mieke van der Burgt (1917-1979). Using the artistname ‘Livinus’, Van de Bundt developed his so-called ‘Photopeintures’. Marcel Broodthaers was highly fascinated by these Light Paintings, and by Livinus’ philosophy and techniques. The close friendship between both artists resulted in plans for a film by Broodthaers on Livinus’ art, titled ‘Lumière sur La Haye’. Although meticulously prepared, the film was never realised.
